Answering Services Look to be English
It seems strange that a country or business would sacrifice its own culture and dialect to sound like someone else entirely, but that’s what is happening in countries like India right now. They are trying to teach their live answering services personnel how to tone down their accent, using special techniques for attitude and emotion and work heavily on spelling and pronunciation in an effort to prevent the continued negative perception of outsource call center answering. This may work short term, but its highly unlikely that the caller won’t figure out that the call center is haf way around the world.
