Most public schools in the United States teach foreign languages, but the selection for years was limited to mostly French and Spanish. Now that the global marketplace and the Internet have opened up to countries like China, India and Japan, there is a need for language courses to include these Asian languages as well. When you think about it, the most spoken language on earth is Chinese, so it only makes sense that it should be offered in a school’s curriculum. Chinese is hard for westerners to learn partly because of the huge number of characters that must be mastered.

Some people are naturals at math and others are naturals at reading. However, those who are good at reading, there is a slight problem. Books are expensive and you cannot always borrow a book. There may be tons of books at the library but they may not have the books you want to read available when you want to read them. So the best way to keep up on reading is by finding used cheap books. You can search and purchase used cheap books and continue enjoying your hobby to read. For those people who love math finding a used calculator may be more of a challenge. However, for those people who love books, they can always purchase used books because books are books, you don’t have to worry about them functioning correctly.

I enjoyed writing. I especially liked writing thank you poems. These were inspirational and had a lot of meaning. I could write about a number of things. This by far was my favorite. It is important to tell people “thank you”. They need to hear when someone is grateful. It makes them feel special and everyone needs to feel like this sometimes. It was wonderful to write my feelings down and share them with others. I was happy to get such great work in return. I liked reading others writing samples and liked to share my own thoughts as a result. It was great to share.

I was just unpacking all the Medieval Swords that I had bought from the toy store inside the mall that they sold for 50% for today. That particular toy shop is actually having different items on sale on a daily basis. They don’t just put everything on sale all at once like any other toy stores so that their customers will have something to look forward to. This is actually one of the best selling strategies that I have heard. Most of the toy shops in the mall would have huge discounts but would only last for 3 days within a month.

My co-workers and I often find unusual topics to debate during our lunch hour. These debates are so lively that we try to eat lunch as a group at least twice a week. The other day, we choose as our subject a funeral eulogy. Some in the group felt that a eulogy should be written by the speaker while others felt it was perfectly appropriate to start with a prepared speech. Many liked the idea of a funeral poem, but a few thought that was tacky. I can’t remember how we came up with this topic, but it was an interesting discussion and gave me a lot to think about.

My mother has always sent thank you cards to anyone she deems has done something special or just a simple thing that showed just how much they cared. She is a firm believer that saying thank you is the most powerful way to show gratitude and let the person know that they are truly appreciated and their deeds have not gone unnoticed. I carried this lesson into adulthood with me and I am now trying to instill the same proper etiquette in my children. They are still young and don’t understand the importance but just like me, they will realize it later in life.
