Negative model production
Podiatrists and other health professional widely use foot orthotics or foot supports to treat a wide range of foot and lower limb pathologies and biomechanical dysfunctions. There are basically two types of foot orthotics – there are the custom made ones and there is the prefabricated one. The prefabricated ones are premade and come in a few basic shapes. The custom made ones are made specific to the individual. To custom make a foot orthotic, a 3d model, called negative model production, is needed to capture the shape of the foot. There are many ways of modeling the foot and you have the right to choose from it.
