How I Began Playing Rock Music on Guitar
When I picked up the guitar I wanted to specialize in a certain type of music. I decided on rock music because my dad was big on the heavy metal bands in the ’80s. So I began looking up how to play guitar in a way that was in the rock style or format. I found that one of the most common scales in rock is the guitar pentatonic scale. I began working on this scale and once I had it down I was creating licks of my own. Now I can rock out to several hard rock songs just like my dad once did.
