All the Necessary Gear
Living in a rural area, with miles and miles between towns, it’s smart to carry emergency gear in your vehicle, just in case you break down. I’ve never had to use my stuff, but you can bet that it is always behind the seat of my truck, just in case. I carry my Burton snowboarding pants, wool hat and gloves, and a down coat. I also carry canned food, bottled water, matches, road flares, jumper cables, and a wool blanket. It may seem like overkill, but if I ever break down two hours from town, I want to be set until someone can come rescue me.
